| Purpose |
Support Theresa House staff as they link guests to community services and programs providing long-term support for guests once they leave the shelter. Help guests meet basic needs |
| Responsibilities |
- Transport guests to appointments with doctors, tutors, social service agencies, pharmacies, job interviews, or grocery/discount stores.
- Provide companionship during the appointment - as necessary

| Skills and Qualities Needed |
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Good driving record
|
| Amount of Time Required |
This position is very flexible. The Volunteer Coordinator contacts the Driver/companion at least 24 hours in advance and, if possible, several days in advance - depending on the nature of the appointment.
The Volunteer Coordinator checks with the Driver/companion as to his/her availability to drive guest(s) on specific dates and times. Volunteers choose to drive weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, seasonally, or on-call |
